23rd May 2026 Hiking - Walking: The Dip to Felixstowe Ferry Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 25 Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny and hot Max Speed: Distance Covered: 3.25 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Saturday 23rd May - walk **** – The Dip to Felixstowe Ferry – sunny and hot. We bought some pastries yesterday so Mag and I could go on an early morning walk from The Dip to Felixstowe Ferry to beat the heat and crowds! We were at the seafront just before seven with the sea like a millpool and the sun behind some patchy clouds but it was very warm and the sweatshirt was soon off! It was so quiet as we walked towards the River Deben, a yacht did head out making slow progress in the light airs! We reached the bench near the jetty to enjoy our warm pastries with a cuppa with lovely views up the Deben:) We then had a walk round the boatyard and returned the way we had come, certainly the best part of the day! Home to sort out my pics before doing my exercises in a very warm back garden, only dozing off once! Mag and I then headed to Lidl to stock up for next week’s family trip to near Ross – on – Wye, could be a touch too hot for us! Photo Album here |
